For owners of multi-site grazing service companies and managing grazing contractors delivering through their own flocks plus partner shepherds: ContractGraze Ops runs a contract-grazing business — multiple client sites (solar farms, utility corridors, municipal fuel-breaks, and levees), each with a written vegetation outcome, a rotation schedule, partner shepherds, and a monthly evidence report the client contractually requires — as one system instead of texts, spreadsheets, and photo dumps.
How it works
- Add each client site with its contract terms — acres, sward target, season window, rate per acre, and reporting cadence — and its written vegetation outcome
- Add flocks and partner shepherds, so every site, flock, and shepherd is held in one system
- Plan rotations across sites — animal-days are head multiplied by days, animal-days per acre are computed from them, and conflicts and out-of-window rotations are flagged
- Enter shepherd logs office-side today — moves, sward checks, and incidents, with incidents flagged for the 24-hour report rule; field mobile logging is not live yet (see the honest state below)
- Produce the monthly evidence report for each site — logs, sward results, incidents, acres, and animal-days, with completeness checked against the site's reporting cadence — and close the season with the end-of-season view
Client sites — each with a written vegetation outcome
Every client site is held with its contract terms and its written vegetation outcome — the outcome the grazing is there to achieve, written down per site, not carried in someone's memory. Site types in this work include solar farms, utility corridors, municipal fuel-breaks, and levees.
The contract terms held for each site are:
- Acres
- Sward target
- Season window
- Rate per acre
- Reporting cadence
The rotation planner — across every site
Rotations are planned across sites in one planner, instead of site by site in separate spreadsheets. Animal-days are computed as head multiplied by days, and animal-days per acre are computed from them.
Conflicts and out-of-window rotations are flagged by the planner — a rotation that clashes with another commitment, or that falls outside a site's season window, is shown as a problem to resolve, not left to be discovered in the field.
Shepherd logs — entered office-side today
Shepherd logs record moves, sward checks, and incidents, with incidents flagged for the 24-hour report rule. Today, those logs are entered office-side: the office enters the moves, sward checks, and incidents into ContractGraze Ops.
Field mobile logging is not live yet. There is no field logging for crews to log from the field, no offline logging, and no photo-evidence upload in ContractGraze Ops today. Photos are the evidence backbone of this work, but photos cannot be uploaded into ContractGraze Ops today — that limit is stated here, in the logging section itself, not only in the honest state below.
Partner shepherds — held in the same system
A managing contractor delivers through its own flocks plus partner shepherds. ContractGraze Ops holds partner shepherds in the same system as the operator's own flocks, sites, and rotations, so the whole operation is visible in one place instead of split across texts and spreadsheets.
Partner-shepherd purchase-order generation is not yet built. ContractGraze Ops does not generate purchase orders for partner shepherds today.
The monthly evidence report — produced here, delivered by the operator
For each site, ContractGraze Ops produces the monthly evidence report the client contractually requires: the logs, the sward results, the incidents, the acres, and the animal-days for the month, with completeness checked against the site's reporting cadence. An end-of-season view closes the season for the site.
Client-facing report delivery is not wired. ContractGraze Ops produces the report; it does not send or deliver reports to clients today. The operator delivers the report their own way, as they do today. And because no photo-evidence upload exists today, photos cannot be added to a report through ContractGraze Ops today.
Where it stands — the honest state
ContractGraze Ops is forming its first operator pilot group now. The door below is an operator pilot application — applying starts a pilot conversation; it does not create an account, and it is not a sign-up for a running service.
Field mobile logging (offline and photo upload) is not live. Logging is entered office-side today, and no photo-evidence upload exists: crews do not log from the field in ContractGraze Ops today, and photos cannot be uploaded into it today.
Evidence reports are produced in ContractGraze Ops, and client-facing report delivery is not wired: the product does not send or deliver reports to clients, and the operator delivers each report their own way today.
Partner-shepherd purchase-order generation is not yet built, and ContractGraze Ops does not invoice clients or take payment today.
No price has been set. Price ranges exist in our market research as hypotheses; they have not been validated and have not been decided, so no price is shown here and there is nothing to buy on this page.
Operator pilot application
This is an operator pilot application — an application to join ContractGraze Ops' first operator pilot group, not an account sign-up and not a purchase. Tell us who to reach, your business, and how many client sites you have under contract. If you like, tell us how many partner shepherds you work with, and how you run sites, schedules, and client reports today. We will be in touch about the pilot group.
