For fed-cattle sellers — feedlots and ranchers finishing cattle: per lot, Fed-Cattle Kill-Sheet Verification verifies a packer's kill-sheet accounting against the actual sale terms and the seller's own out-weight and shrink records, and flags outlier lots — the record a seller needs for a Packers and Stockyards inquiry. All terms and records are the seller's own entries; no packer data, market prices, or grid schedules are invented, and the check is arithmetic against the seller's own records — not legal advice.
How it works
- Start the lot record — packer, head, and the sale terms entered from the seller's own agreement: sale basis and price terms, grid schedule entries, and shrink terms; the product never invents sale terms
- Enter the seller's own records for the lot — own out-weight, delivery shrink, and head shipped, entered by the seller; document intake for real kill sheets is not built, so records enter only as the seller's own entries
- Enter the kill sheet as it was issued — pay weight, yield, grade distribution, premiums, discounts, deductions, and net
- The check runs — expected pay weight (out-weight minus the agreed shrink), the yield check, the per-line grid comparison against the seller's entered grid entries, head reconciliation (head shipped against head harvested against head paid), and expected net against sheet net
- Every variance is cited to the term or record it rests on, lots are ranked by variance, and any lot over a threshold the seller sets is flagged Outlier — inquiry-ready
- The per-lot inquiry packet is assembled for the seller — a printable packet holding the seller's record in the shape a Packers and Stockyards inquiry needs; the product files nothing with the Packers and Stockyards Administration or anyone else, and contacts no packer
The lot record — your own terms, your own records
Each lot carries its own record: packer, head, and the sale terms entered from the seller's own agreement — sale basis and price terms, grid schedule entries, and shrink terms. All terms and records in Fed-Cattle Kill-Sheet Verification are the seller's own entries — the product never invents sale terms, and a record holds exactly what the seller entered from their own agreement and their own records.
Against that lot record, the seller's own records for the lot are entered: own out-weight, delivery shrink, and head shipped. Those entered records are what the kill sheet is checked against.
- Packer
- Head
- Sale basis and price terms, entered from the seller's own agreement
- Grid schedule entries, entered from the seller's own agreement
- Shrink terms
- The seller's own records — out-weight, delivery shrink, and head shipped
The check — arithmetic against your own records, not legal advice
The kill sheet is entered as it was issued: pay weight, yield, grade distribution, premiums, discounts, deductions, and net. Verification then runs against the lot record, in the five checks named below.
Every variance is cited to its term or record — cited, not just flagged. A line that agrees is not listed as a variance.
The check is arithmetic against the seller's own records. It is not legal advice: it shows where the entered numbers disagree, with the citation for each disagreement, and it makes no ruling about what an agreement means.
- Expected pay weight — out-weight minus the agreed shrink
- Yield check
- Per-line grid comparison, against the grid entries the seller entered from their own agreement
- Head reconciliation — head shipped against head harvested against head paid
- Expected net against sheet net
Your records only — no packer data, market prices, or grid schedules are invented
No packer data, market prices, or grid schedules are invented in Fed-Cattle Kill-Sheet Verification — the product contains none of its own. It holds only the seller's own entries: their sale terms from their own agreement, including the grid entries they entered, their out-weight and shrink records, and their kill sheets.
Nothing is pulled in from any packer, any market, or any published schedule. If a term or a number is not in the seller's own entries, it is not in the check.
Outlier lots and the inquiry packet — assembled for you, filed nowhere
Lots are ranked by variance. Any lot whose variance passes a threshold the seller sets is flagged, in the product's own words, Outlier — inquiry-ready.
For each lot, the product assembles a printable inquiry packet: the lot record, the seller's own records, the kill sheet as entered, and every variance with the term or record it rests on — the seller's record assembled in the shape a Packers and Stockyards inquiry needs, as the seller's own record.
The packet is assembled for the seller — the product files nothing with the Packers and Stockyards Administration or anyone else, contacts no packer, and does not submit an inquiry or communicate with any agency or packer on the seller's behalf. What the seller does with the packet is the seller's own decision.
Where it stands — the honest state
Fed-Cattle Kill-Sheet Verification is forming its first seller pilot group now. The door below is a seller pilot application — applying starts a pilot conversation; it does not create an account, and it is not a sign-up for a running service.
Document intake for real kill sheets is not built. Records enter as the seller's own entries today — the seller enters their sale terms, their out-weight and shrink records, and the kill sheet as issued, as described above. No kill sheet is read in on its own.
The product assembles the seller's record; it files nothing with the Packers and Stockyards Administration or anyone else, and it contacts no packer. No outcome is promised: the check and the packet promise no inquiry result, no corrected kill sheet, and no recovered money — they show the arithmetic and the citations, and nothing more.
No price has been set. A price range exists in our market research as a hypothesis; it has not been validated and it has not been decided, so no price is shown here and there is nothing to buy on this page.
Seller pilot application
This is a seller pilot application — an application to join Fed-Cattle Kill-Sheet Verification's first seller pilot group, not an account sign-up and not a purchase. Tell us who to reach, your operation, and how many lots you sell per year. If you like, tell us the head per lot, and how you check kill sheets today. We will be in touch about the pilot group.
