For landscaping companies that install plants under client guarantees: PlantPromise is a landscaper's dual-sided plant guarantee ledger — every guaranteed plant is tracked with its health checks, and when a plant dies, both sides of the promise are run: the replacement owed to the client and the warranty credit owed by the nursery, so neither leaks. Every guarantee term and every warranty term in the ledger is your own entry; no nursery policies or plant-care facts are invented.
How it works
- Enter each job and its plants — the client, and for each plant entry the species, size, quantity, unit cost, and nursery, with your client guarantee terms and the nursery warranty terms entered from your own paperwork; every term in the ledger is your own entry
- Track each plant group's status — Alive, Struggling, Dead, or Replaced — with live guarantee clocks running from the guarantee terms you entered
- Record health checks on schedule — checks are recorded as entries, and overdue checks are flagged; photo upload for health checks is not built
- When a plant dies, both sides open — the replacement owed to the client is tracked as owed, scheduled, or planted, or guarantee-expired under the terms you entered; and the warranty credit owed by the nursery is computed as unit cost multiplied by quantity dead, its standing recorded as filed, received, denied, or warranty-expired under the terms you entered; PlantPromise assembles the credit side of the ledger and files and sends nothing with any nursery
- Work the ledgers — guarantees expiring soon, open claims, credits recorded as recovered, and a per-job summary, so neither side of a promise is left untracked
Every guaranteed plant — one entry, your own terms
Each job carries its client and its plant entries: species, size, quantity, unit cost, and the nursery each plant came from. Against every entry stand two sets of terms, both yours: the client guarantee terms from your own promise to the client, and the nursery warranty terms from your own nursery paperwork.
The record held for each job is:
- Job and client
- Species
- Size
- Quantity
- Unit cost
- Nursery
- Client guarantee terms — entered from your own client promise
- Nursery warranty terms — entered from your own nursery paperwork
Your terms only — no nursery policies or plant-care facts asserted
All guarantee and warranty terms in PlantPromise are your own entries. The product states no nursery's warranty terms, no plant's care requirements, no hardiness or survival expectations, and no guarantee durations as fact or as product knowledge — it holds what you entered from your own client promise and your own nursery paperwork, and nothing else.
If a term is not in your entries, it is not in the ledger. PlantPromise never fills a gap with a policy or a care fact of its own.
Health checks — recorded as entries, on schedule
Each plant group carries a status — Alive, Struggling, Dead, or Replaced — and a live guarantee clock running from the guarantee terms you entered. Health checks are scheduled against the plants, and a check that passes its date is flagged overdue.
A health check is recorded as an entry: what you saw, recorded in the ledger. Photo upload for health checks is not built — no photo can be uploaded into PlantPromise today, and the product does not assess a plant's health from a photo or in any other way.
- Status per plant group — Alive, Struggling, Dead, or Replaced
- Live guarantee clocks, from the terms you entered
- Scheduled health checks, with overdue checks flagged
- Each check recorded as an entry
When a plant dies — both sides of the promise, run to closed
A death opens both sides of the promise at once. On the client side, the replacement owed is tracked as owed, scheduled, or planted — or guarantee-expired, under the guarantee terms you entered. On the nursery side, the warranty credit owed is computed as unit cost multiplied by quantity dead, and its standing is tracked as filed, received, or denied — or warranty-expired, under the warranty terms you entered. Each side is tracked until it is closed, so neither leaks.
The credit side is assembled in the ledger for you to work. PlantPromise files nothing with any nursery and sends nothing to any nursery — a claim's standing is recorded from your own dealings, and filing anything with a nursery stays your own step. The ledgers keep the whole picture in front of you: guarantees expiring soon, open claims, credits recorded as recovered, and a per-job summary.
- Client side — replacement owed, scheduled, or planted, or guarantee-expired
- Nursery side — credit owed at unit cost multiplied by quantity dead
- Credit standing — filed, received, denied, or warranty-expired, recorded from your own dealings
- Ledgers — guarantees expiring soon, open claims, credits recorded as recovered, per-job summary
Where it stands — the honest state
PlantPromise is forming its first landscaper pilot group now. The door below is a landscaper pilot application — applying starts a pilot conversation; it does not create an account, and it is not a sign-up for a running service.
Every guarantee and warranty term in the product is your own entry, as described above: PlantPromise asserts no nursery's warranty terms and no plant-care facts of its own.
Photo upload for health checks is not built. Health checks are recorded as entries today, and no photo can be uploaded into PlantPromise.
PlantPromise assembles the warranty-credit side of the ledger for you; it files and sends nothing with any nursery. No outcome is promised: the product does not promise that a nursery will honor a credit, and it does not promise any client outcome — the ledger tracks what your entered terms say is owed, and nothing more.
No price has been set. A price range exists in our market research as a hypothesis; it has not been validated and it has not been decided, so no price is shown here and there is nothing to buy on this page.
Landscaper pilot application
This is a landscaper pilot application — an application to join PlantPromise's first landscaper pilot group, not an account sign-up and not a purchase. Tell us who to reach, your business, and how many guaranteed installs you do per year. If you like, tell us how many nurseries you buy from, and how you track guarantees and nursery credits today. We will be in touch about the pilot group.
