ToneMatchProducer interest list open

Find the sound you hear in your head.

For music producers and musicians — bedroom producers chasing drum sounds first, then guitarists, cover bands, bassists, keyboardists, and Logic users: load any song, pick an instrument, and the app analyzes that instrument's sound, rebuilds it as closely as possible from your own samples and plugins, and exports it DAW-ready (Logic first) — a rendered recipe, a kit and result map, and a recipe card. Remarkably close, not identical — that is the honest bar. This web version's separation is a test-mode simulation.

How it works

  1. Load a song you own — it is analyzed in your browser via Web Audio, never uploaded
  2. Pick 1 of 6 instruments — drums, guitar, bass, horns, keys, or synth
  3. Match it: the fingerprint is read — band spectrum, attack and decay, fundamental, and per-instrument traits
  4. The nearest of your own sample entries is chosen, with a corrective chain dialed in as Logic stock plugin settings
  5. Audition the result — audio playback, the fingerprint, the chosen sample, and all settings in one view
  6. Export it DAW-ready: recipe.json, RECIPE.md with the 30-second Sampler instructions, and kit_map.json for drums or result.json for a melodic instrument
  7. Your matches are kept in a matches history — and with an empty library, you still get an analyze-only dial-in card, cleanly

DAW-ready exports — Logic first

A match is not a picture of settings. It leaves as files your DAW can use: a rendered recipe, a kit and result map, and a recipe card.

For drums, the map is kit_map.json; for a melodic instrument, it is result.json. Both travel with recipe.json and RECIPE.md, and RECIPE.md carries the 30-second Sampler instructions.

Honest grades, instrument by instrument

The build grades its own matches honestly, by instrument:

This web version is a test-mode simulation — labeled plainly

The separation in this web version is a test-mode simulation — no Demucs-grade separation is claimed by this web version, and no result is claimed to be identical to the original sound.

The honest bar, carried in all copy for this product, is: remarkably close, not identical. If a sound cannot be read honestly, the build says so instead of inventing a recipe.

Private by design — your song stays in your browser

Songs are analyzed in your browser via Web Audio. A song is never uploaded.

Audio itself is never stored. That is how the design works: analysis happens in the browser, and the audio does not leave it and is not kept.

No price has been decided

No price has been decided for ToneMatch. A recommendation exists on file, but it has not been ratified, and no figure from it is shown here as a price.

There is nothing for sale on this page. When the founder decides a price, that decision will be stated plainly — until then, no price is presented.

Where it stands — the honest state

The real product is the native Mac app. It was built and verified on 2026-10-05, with 6 instruments, and it sits in the founder's hands awaiting his iMac test notes — those notes are still owed, and they come before anything else.

This page is the web test-mode version's front door, and today it does one honest thing: it takes the producer interest list.

The name and the price are the founder's open decisions, still to make. The closed beta comes later, and it is the founder's to open — joining the list below is not admission to it.

Join the producer interest list

This is the producer interest list — interest only. Leave your name and email, and we will write to this list when there is news about ToneMatch. Joining does not admit you to a beta, does not create an account, and is not a purchase — the closed beta comes later, and it is the founder's to open.

You are on the producer interest list — thank you. We will write when there is news. No account was created, and you were not admitted to a beta.
